Folded once is the simplest leaflet, and with laminate it also makes a perfectly good menu. A cross fold puts a lot of information together in an organised way. You can also choose, among others, a wrap fold or a zig-zag fold, with two or three panels. Sizes range from A7 to A3. Use the template when preparing your file; that way you can be sure your design turns out right.
You choose between HV semi-matt (silk) and HV satin (gloss), in various weights. Paper up to and including 170 g/m² is folded. Heavier paper is scored first: it is pressed in along the fold line so that it does not break or tear. Does your design run across the fold lines? Then choose matt or gloss laminate, so the ink does not crack on the fold.
Folders are printed digitally. No printing plates are needed and the first sheet has the right colours straight away, so far less paper is wasted than with offset printing.

If your design continues across a fold, the ink can crack on that fold. A matt or gloss laminate prevents that. Preferably laminate on both sides, so that the leaflet doesn't curl.
Thin paper up to and including 170 g/m² is simply folded. Thicker paper is first given a crease: a pressed line at the place of the fold, so the paper does not crack.
