Velours, also known as velvet, is a short-pile fabric with a soft feel and a subtle sheen. It gives your print depth and colour contrast. The fabric weighs 320 g/m² and can be printed up to 20 metres long in one piece. We make it in Nijmegen; collect it or have it sent, both are possible.
Velours is for indoor use: a decorative cushion, a wall hanging or keder fabric in a fabric frame. If you use the same fabric across several products, a space gets one coherent look. The fabric has a Martindale score of 40,000. That test measures abrasion resistance; 40,000 stands for intensive seating use, so it is suitable for furniture too. Please note: velours has no fire certificate.
You choose from cutting, hemming, a pocket or a flat keder. If you choose a finish per side, the first thread colour you choose is used for all sides.
Velours is sublimated: the ink dries first and is then heated to 180 to 200 degrees. That way the colour sinks into the fibres of the fabric. The inks are water-based, the fabric is PVC-free and consists of few different materials, which makes it easier to recycle.
Seamless (photo) wallpaper made to measure for your wall — matt, wipe-resistant and easy to apply.
