The idea

Basics that last for years

Native Spirit started with one clear goal: making clothing that's better for the planet. Not seasonal fashion, but essentials that last for years — T-shirts, sweaters, hoodies, polos and jackets for men, women and children. The collection is made for companies that personalise clothing, like us. That's why there's no brand label inside: the garment becomes entirely yours.

Materials

Organic, recycled or plant-based

Every Native Spirit piece is made from organic, recycled or plant-based raw materials. Organic cotton is grown without chemical pesticides. Recycled polyester reuses material that already exists, so less new material has to be made. And plant-based fibres grow back by themselves, need little water and are biodegradable. Even the lightweight down jackets contain no animal feathers: half of the filling is Sorona, a fibre made partly from plant-based raw materials, and half is recycled polyester.

Straight, regular or oversized: which fit suits you?

Native Spirit makes its basics in three fits. You can tell them apart by how loose they are around the chest and how the shoulders sit.

Straight cut: straight with a slight waist. Sits between slim and regular and looks neat and tailored. Great for business wear and shirts.
Regular fit: straight and balanced, comfortable for every body type. There's a classic version and one with dropped shoulders for a looser look. Suits almost every project, from company clothing to an event.
Oversized: roomy and relaxed, with dropped shoulders and plenty of freedom of movement. The fit for streetwear and your own clothing line.

Made in audited factories

A sustainable material is only half the story: it's also about the people who make the clothing. Native Spirit only works with factories that demonstrably take good care of their workers and the environment.

Certified factories — the factories meet standards such as WRAP, SA8000 and BSCI, which cover fair wages, safe workplaces and no child labour.
Independently audited — all factories are audited through amfori, so the supply chain can be traced and keeps improving.
Made to be worn for a long time — clothing that lasts for years needs replacing less often. That may well be the biggest gain.

Made in Portugal

Part of the collection is made in Portugal, close to home. That way the clothing travels less far and the supply chain is shorter and easier to trace.

Native Spirit takes its colours from nature: the grey of volcanic rock, the blue of the ocean, the green of the rainforest and soft fruit tones. Below is a selection of the solid colours.

In total there are 68 solid colours, 30 washed colours (each piece a slightly different shade), 8 heather colours and 6 dip-dye colours. Not every style comes in every colour: the product page shows which colours are available per item. A colour always looks slightly different on screen — if in doubt, drop by and see the fabric for real.

Why we love printing Native Spirit

Most styles are made of combed organic cotton with a smooth, even surface. A vinyl logo sits crisply on it, and a full colour DTF print comes out sharp and bright.
