Everything about printing on clothing in Nijmegen

What can you find in this category?

Printing underwear is a small niche, and we like to keep things honest here. This category contains around twenty items from Proact, WK. Designed To Work, Kariban, Larkwood and SF Clothing. It mainly involves boxer shorts, thermal shirts and thermal trousers, and pyjamas for adults and children. Printing on socks calls for a different approach than pressing: the fabric is knitted, stretches a great deal and has a small surface area. That's why the focus here is on garments where a pressed print does work well.

Having boxer shorts printed

A boxer short with text is a classic for a stag or hen do, a cheeky gift or a club that wants something different from a T-shirt. An organic men's boxer short from Kariban has a soft cotton fabric that takes a print well. The print goes on the leg or on the seat, as a guideline 6 to 10 cm wide. We don't press over the elastic waistband: the fabric stretches too much there.

Thermal clothing with a logo

Thermal shirts and thermal trousers, such as the long-sleeved thermal shirt from Proact, fit closely to the body and are often worn under sportswear or workwear. A club logo on the chest or a name on the sleeve makes them recognisable in the changing room. Because this fabric stretches a great deal, we often choose DTF transfer here: thin and flexible, also in full colour. For a name in one colour, cut vinyl works well, which we cut from 104 colours.

Pyjamas with a name or text

Pyjamas with a name make a lovely gift for a sleepover, the festive season or a new baby gift for an older brother or sister. Larkwood makes, among other things, striped pyjamas for children. A name or short text 8 to 12 cm wide on the chest looks great, and a small print on the leg is also possible.

Who is printed underwear for?

Most orders in this category are personal: a birthday gift, a joke for a stag or hen do, or a set of pyjamas for a family weekend. In addition, sports clubs and gyms have thermal clothing printed for winter, and companies with outdoor work choose thermal underwear with a logo under their workwear. Because it involves small quantities, ordering from 1 piece is exactly what you need here.

Washing and care

Wash printed underwear and thermal clothing inside out at 30 or 40 degrees, without fabric softener. Let thermal clothing dry on the line instead of in a hot tumble dryer, and never iron over the print.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a single boxer short printed?

Yes, you order from 1 piece. So one boxer short with text as a gift or for a stag or hen do is no problem. You put together the print on the product page and receive a digital proof first.

Can you print socks?

Socks are knitted, stretch a great deal and have a small surface area, which means a pressed print doesn't sit as well on them. In this category, the focus is therefore on boxer shorts, thermal clothing and pyjamas. If you're unsure about an idea, feel free to ask us.

Does a print stay in good condition on stretchy thermal clothing?

On thermal clothing we often use DTF transfer, because it's thin and flexible and stretches with the fabric. Wash inside out at 30 or 40 degrees and don't iron over the print, and your logo will stay neat.

Where does the text go on a boxer short?

On the leg or on the seat, with a text or logo roughly 6 to 10 cm wide. We don't press over the elastic waistband, as it stretches too much. In the digital proof you'll see exactly how it looks.

Can I come by in Nijmegen to discuss?

Yes, you're welcome at our workshop at In de Betouwstraat 40 in the centre of Nijmegen. You can feel the fabrics and look together with us at which print suits your boxer short, thermal shirt or pyjamas best.

Do you also deliver outside Nijmegen?

Yes. You can collect in the centre of Nijmegen, but we also deliver throughout the rest of the Netherlands. Handy if you want a gift sent straight to the recipient.
