Dibond® is a fairly light aluminium sandwich panel, here 6 mm thick. It is hardly sensitive to changing weather conditions and is easy to work with. At 8.5 kg/m², HPL is about 25% heavier than Dibond. If you already have sheets, you can also order just the printed film, without an HPL sheet.
We apply film to HPL on one or both sides. If there is film on one side only, the sheet can warp. For a sign that has to stay straight for a long time, applying film on both sides is therefore the safe choice.
