Advertising signs made in Nijmegen

Advertising signs made in Nijmegen

An advertising board only works if it's in the right place and legible from a distance. In this category you'll find nine types of signs: Forex signs in any shape, pavement signs with click frame, lamppost signs, estate agent signs and sports field signs made of Dibond or HPL. You order from 1 piece, and we'll also help you with the question of where such a sign is allowed to stand in Nijmegen.

…

Which advertising board do you need?

Start with the location and the duration. A board that hangs on a fence along the sports field for years requires something different from a board that sits on a lamp post for three weeks or is placed outside your door every morning. Roughly speaking, there are three groups: fixed boards (advertising board made of Forex and the sports field board), pavement boards with interchangeable posters, and temporary boards made of corrugated plastic, such as the lamp post board and the estate agent board. There's also the construction site board for the building site.

Advertising board made of Forex, in any shape

Forex is a lightweight, hard PVC foam. You can choose 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 mm: thin for a board that goes against a wall, thick for a board that hangs freely and shouldn't bend. There's also recycled Forex and black Forex with white print, for a board with a dark edge. The board is milled or cut into any shape, including the shape of your logo, and gets drill holes wherever you want them. Too large for one sheet? Then we'll split your design. Forex is water-repellent and has a fire certificate, but is intended for indoor use and short periods outdoors. For years of outdoor use, choose Dibond, as with a façade board.

Also consider legibility: a commonly used rule of thumb is about 2.5 cm letter height per 3 metres of viewing distance. A board that needs to be read from across the street therefore needs large letters and little text.

Pavement boards: folding board, swing base and water tank

The pavement boards come in three models. The folding board is for A1 posters, with a poster on both sides, a frame in silver or black and a protective sheet. The basic pavement board with water tank and the premium pavement board with water tank take A1 or A0 posters, have a waterproof click frame that can withstand wind, and roll indoors on castors. You can choose posters on poster paper or on water-repellent Synaps. With click frames you can swap a poster in a few seconds; you can order a new insert sheet separately.

Advertising boards along the road in Nijmegen: what's allowed?

This is the question we get most often. In the centre of Nijmegen and near the urban hubs, freestanding advertising boards on the street are not permitted. Outside these areas, one pavement board per business is allowed, only during opening hours, within 5 metres of the premises, a maximum of 1.2 metres high and 0.8 metres wide, not illuminated and not fluorescent. Sandwich boards are not permitted. Advertising is prohibited along national roads, and along provincial roads in Gelderland this is also the case in principle. Temporary advertising may be displayed for a maximum of 31 days per year. In Beek and the rest of Berg en Dal, boards in public spaces are only allowed for an event. The full explanation is on the outdoor advertising page; always check with the municipality before ordering.

Lamp post board and estate agent board made of corrugated plastic

Corrugated plastic is a lightweight plastic with hollow channels. The lamp post board is 3.5 mm thick, slotted and fitted with 14 holes for cable ties, so you can pull it tightly around a post. You can choose from three sizes with templates to design on; the board is also widely used as an election board. The estate agent board comes in three fixed sizes, is visible from both sides and is weather-resistant up to wind force 6. With suction cups you can reuse it behind a window, and it's also available as a contour-cut window board. Both boards are 100% recyclable.

Sports field board made of Dibond or HPL

A board along the pitch has a hard time of it: rain, sun and balls. You can have the sports field board made on 6 mm Dibond or on HPL, single- or double-sided, with film and a laminate over your print. HPL is extremely hard and scratch-resistant; Dibond is rigid and flat. Both are easy to mount on the fence along the pitch.

An outdoor advertising board with frame

Looking for an outdoor advertising board with a frame? There are two options. If you want a sleek board that you can replace later, choose a blind banner frame: it looks like an advertising board, but the banner can be swapped. You'll find more frames under banner frames. If you want a flat board on the wall, you mount a façade board with spacers, so it stands just clear of the façade.

How to order your advertising board

Choose the board, set the size, thickness, shape and drill holes, and upload your design. No design? Then we'll create one together with you. We take care of the production and have the board delivered to the address of your choice, whether that's your business in the city centre, a sports park in Malden or an event location in Beek. Frequently asked questions

Can I put advertising signs along the road in Nijmegen?

Advertising along national roads is not allowed, and along provincial roads in Gelderland it is in principle not allowed either. In the centre and at the urban hubs, loose signs on the street are not permitted. Temporary advertising elsewhere may stay up for at most 31 days a year. Always check with the municipality.

Can I place an advertising sign in Beek?

In Beek and the rest of the municipality of Berg en Dal, signs in public space are only allowed for an event. A permanent sign along the road is therefore not the idea there. Read more on our outdoor advertising page and contact the municipality if in doubt.

How big may a pavement sign be in Nijmegen?

Outside the centre, one pavement sign per business is allowed, during opening hours and within 5 metres of the premises. The sign may be at most 1.2 metres high and 0.8 metres wide, and not illuminated or fluorescent. Sandwich boards are not allowed.

Which size of sign should I choose?

Look at the distance from which people will read the sign. Allow about 2.5 cm of letter height for every 3 metres of viewing distance. You order a Forex sign from 1 piece in any size; if it is too big for one sheet, we split your design.

How do I hang a lamppost sign?

The lamppost sign has 14 holes for cable ties. You place the sign against the post and pull the cable ties tight around it, at the top and bottom. Check beforehand whether signs are allowed there: temporary advertising may stay up for at most 31 days a year.

Can I have a sign made in the shape of my logo?

Yes. The Forex sign board is milled or cut into any shape, including the shape of your logo. You upload your design with the contour you want and choose where the drill holes go. It is also available in black Forex with white print.

Can I replace the poster in my pavement sign?

Yes. All pavement signs have snap frames, so you change a poster in a few seconds. A new insert sheet in A1 or A0 can be ordered separately, on poster paper or on water-repellent Synaps for outdoor use.

Can I visit you in Nijmegen to look at signs?

Yes. Drop by at Betouwstraat 40 in the centre of Nijmegen. We show you the difference between Forex, Dibond, HPL and fluted board and help you think about size and fixing for your spot.
