Having bags printed in Nijmegen

Everything about printing on clothing in Nijmegen

Why have bags printed with your logo?

A bag goes everywhere with you: to the market, the gym, the station or a trade fair. Anyone carrying a printed bag literally takes your logo out into the city, and unlike a flyer, nobody throws away a good shopper. That's why bags with a logo are popular as a corporate gift, as a goodie bag item at an event, and as merchandise for a shop or band. For Royal Smit, for example, we printed bags with their logo. In our workshop on Betouwstraat, we press every bag ourselves, whether you order one or a whole stack.

Which bags can we print for you?

This category features over 650 bags and luggage items from brands including Kimood, Bagbase, Westford Mill, Quadra, Shugon, SG Accessories, Proact, Native Spirit, WK. Designed To Work and Timberland. A selection from the range:

Looking for something sustainable? Choose a bag made of organic cotton or jute.

Which technique suits which fabric?

Our printing is a transfer that is pressed onto the fabric using heat and pressure. For a logo or text in one or two colours, choose cut vinyl: crisp, opaque and sharp, in 104 foil colours, including fluorescent, gold, silver and metallic. If your design contains a photo, a colour gradient or many colours, choose a DTF transfer in full colour, which also covers well on black or dark bags. With a bag, the fabric determines what's possible:

  • Cotton and canvasthe most rewarding surface. Smooth, sturdy and heat-resistant, so both cut vinyl and DTF print sharply onto it.
  • Jutecoarse and openly woven. Thin lines and small letters get lost between the fibres, so a bold logo or short text in cut vinyl works better here than a design with fine details. Juco, a mix of jute and cotton, is somewhat smoother.
  • Nylon and polyestermany backpacks, sports bags and trolleys are made from these. These fabrics tolerate less heat; we press them at a lower temperature, and some models cannot be printed.
  • Coated outer fabric (PU or PVC)we don't print bags with a waterproof coating on the outside, as a transfer won't adhere to it reliably.

Where does your logo go on a bag, and how big?

A bag has seams, handles, zips and compartments. For a good print, the fabric needs to lie flat under the press, so your logo always falls within a flat area, away from seams and where the handles attach. As a guideline:

  • Shopper or tote bagup to about 25 by 30 cm on the front, and often also on the back.
  • Gym bag with drawstringup to about 20 by 25 cm, below the cord.
  • Backpack10 to 15 cm on the front pocket or flap, depending on zips and pockets.
  • Sports baga logo of 10 to 20 cm on the side or the central panel.
  • Pouch or wash bag6 to 10 cm; on small bags, the maximum print size is really limited.

On the product page, you'll see which positions can be printed per bag; the digital proof shows how big your logo will turn out.

Who we print bags for

Companies hand out printed shoppers to clients or use them as a trade fair gift. Shops and brands sell tote bags with their own design as merchandise. Sports clubs order gym bags or sports bags with the club name, schools and societies order bags for an anniversary or camp, and organisers fill goodie bags with them. Our customers come from the city centre, but just as often from Lent, Nijmegen-Oost, Wijchen, Beuningen and Arnhem.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get canvas bags printed with a logo?

At DrukkerijNijmegen.com in Nijmegen city centre. Choose a canvas or cotton bag online, upload your logo per position and approve the digital proof. After that, we press the bag in our own workshop on Betouwstraat, and you collect it or have it delivered.

Can I have a single bag printed?

Yes. You can order from us from 1 item, even with a full colour DTF transfer. So a single shopper with your own design as a gift is just as possible as a stack of bags with a logo for a trade fair or event.

Can I come by in Nijmegen to view bags?

Certainly. Our workshop is in the city centre, at In de Betouwstraat 40. You can feel the fabrics there, compare colours and discuss your design. That way you'll immediately notice the difference between sturdy canvas, smooth cotton and coarse jute.

Do you also deliver printed bags outside Nijmegen?

Yes. You can collect your bags in Nijmegen city centre or have them delivered. This applies to customers in the region, such as Wijchen or Arnhem, and also to orders from the rest of the Netherlands.

Can you print Westford Mill bags?

Yes. We have over a hundred bags from Westford Mill, including cotton and canvas tote bags such as the Gallery Canvas Tote. On the product page, you choose 1 colour or full colour per position and upload your logo. You'll first see a digital proof.

Can you also print a jute bag or nylon backpack?

Jute is possible, but due to the coarse weave, a bold logo in cut vinyl works better than fine details. We press nylon and polyester at a lower temperature, and not every model is suitable. We don't print bags with a coated outer fabric made of PU or PVC.

How do I wash a printed cotton bag?

Wash the bag inside out at a maximum of 30 degrees, without fabric softener, and let it air dry on the line. Don't iron directly over the print. It's best not to wash a jute bag: brush it clean or dab stains with a damp cloth.
