Everything about printing clothing in Nijmegen

Why have a coat printed?

From October to April, the coat is the garment that goes over everything: on the building site, in the school playground, on the sidelines at the football club or cycling to a client. A printed coat with your logo is therefore one of the most visible pieces of workwear you can choose. Teams and clubs wear a coat with their own design for years.

In this category you'll find 417 coats from brands including Kariban, Regatta Professional, Stormtech, Tee Jays, B&C, Result, Proact and Russell. This ranges from light windbreakers and softshells to padded down jackets and jackets with sherpa lining.

Which coat suits your use?

Specifically looking for a softshell or a sleeveless jacket? Then softshell coats and bodywarmers are separate categories with more choice.

Where does the logo go on a coat?

A coat has more space than you'd think, but not every area is suitable. Zips, seams, pockets and quilted chambers break up the fabric. As a guideline:

  • Left chest8 to 10 cm wide, the classic spot for a company logo. Watch out for the chest pocket or the zip; we place the logo on the flat part.
  • Backup to about 25 to 30 cm wide, between the shoulder blades. Ideal for a large logo, a website or a club name.
  • Sleeve6 to 8 cm, for example a name, a small flag or a sponsor.
  • Neck or collara narrow line of text, such as a website.

On a padded coat, the logo preferably sits within a single chamber, so the stitching doesn't run through it. On the product page, you choose what you want per position and upload your file.

Which technique works on which coat?

We work with two pressing techniques, both a transfer that is pressed onto the fabric with heat. No preparation or screen is needed, which is exactly why one coat can work just as well as fifty.

Cut vinyl is ideal for a logo or text in one or two colours. The result is crisp, opaque and sharp down to small letters. You choose from 104 vinyl colours, including fluorescent, gold, silver and metallic – a reflective or fluorescent colour stands out well on a dark winter coat. For coats that are washed often, we use sturdy vinyl.

DTF transfer is full colour: photos, gradients and many colours in one go. It works on almost any fabric, including dark nylon or polyester, and also for a single coat.

One thing to note beforehand: an outer fabric with a rubber-like PU or PVC coating, such as classic rain jackets, cannot be pressed. If you're unsure about a coat, just ask us; we'll help you figure out which option works best.

Who do we print coats for?

Companies use printed coats as workwear for engineers, painters, landscapers and delivery drivers. Sports clubs and associations have coaching jackets and coach coats printed with the club name and the coach's name. Schools and student societies choose a coat with their own design for a trip or anniversary. And at events and festivals, you recognise the crew by their coats. Customers from across the region, from Lent and Nijmegen-Oost to Wijchen, Malden and Groesbeek, collect their coats from us in the city centre.

Washing and care of a printed coat

Wash a printed coat inside out and with the zip closed, at the temperature on the wash label. Don't use fabric softener with softshell or membrane coats; this affects the breathability. It's better to avoid a dryer on a high setting and ironing over the print. This way your logo stays looking good for as long as the coat itself.

Combining with other clothing

A coat rarely comes alone. Many customers combine it with polo shirts or sweaters and hoodies in the same colour, so a team looks the same in every season. For outdoor work, workwear is a logical addition.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a single coat printed?

Yes. You can order from us starting at 1 item. Because we press with cut vinyl and DTF transfers, no screen or preparation is needed. So one coat with your name or logo is just as possible as a whole batch for your team.

Can I drop by in Nijmegen to view coats?

Yes, you're welcome to visit our workshop at In de Betouwstraat 40 in the centre of Nijmegen. There you can feel the fabric, compare vinyl colours and discuss the placement and size of your logo.

Can I have a bomber jacket or rain jacket printed?

A bomber jacket made of nylon or polyester can be printed well on the chest and back. We cannot press a rain jacket with a rubber-like PU or PVC coating on the outer fabric. If you're unsure about a model, send us the link and we'll take a look with you.

How big can a logo be on the back of a coat?

As a guideline, up to about 25 to 30 cm wide, depending on the size and model. With padded coats, we take the stitching of the chambers into account. In the digital proof, you'll see exactly how big the logo is and where it will go.

Which technique is best for a coat with a logo?

For a logo or text in one or two colours, cut vinyl is crisp and opaque, with 104 colours including fluorescent and metallic. If your design has many colours, a photo or a gradient, you choose a DTF transfer in full colour.
