Everything about printing clothing in Nijmegen

Why hospitality and healthcare clothing with a logo?

In hospitality, you're the business card of the venue. A guest sees the barista's apron or the chef's tunic before the menu. An apron with the logo of your café, lunchroom or food truck completes the look and shows that your team belongs together. In healthcare, it works just the same: a tunic or practice polo with the name of your practice gives patients a clear idea of who they're dealing with. De Fysioo, for example, had practice polos printed for the whole team with us.

This category contains 129 items from, among others, Premier, Karlowsky, SG Accessories, Kariban, Bargear, Westford Mill, Dickies Medical and Cherokee.

Aprons, chef's tunics, tabards and tunics

Aprons

There are roughly two types. A bib apron (with a top section) protects your whole front and has a large area for your logo; think of the 'Calibre' bib apron or the 'Annex' bib apron. A waist apron is shorter and popular behind the bar and in service, such as the Metro waist apron. For a tougher look, there are aprons in a waxed denim finish, such as the District bib apron.

Chef's tunics

A chef's tunic is made from dense, sturdy fabric that can withstand heat and stains and is often washed at high temperatures. Karlowsky makes clothing specially for the professional kitchen; you'll find their chef's tunics in this category.

Tabards and healthcare tunics

A tabard is an overgarment you wear over your clothing, handy in cleaning, kitchens or childcare; for example, the ladies' tabard. Healthcare tunics from Dickies Medical and Cherokee are made for practices, home care and clinics: easy to move in and easy to wash.

Printing for hot washes

Hospitality and healthcare clothing is washed more often and at higher temperatures than ordinary clothing. We adapt the technique accordingly.

  • Sturdy cutting vinylour recommendation for chef's tunics, tunics and aprons that are washed hot. For workwear, we use sturdy vinyl that can withstand washing at high temperatures. Crisp, opaque and sharp, ideal for a logo or name in one or two colours. There are 104 vinyl colours, from white and black to gold and silver.
  • DTF transferfull colour, for a logo with many colours, a gradient or a photo. A good choice for service aprons and for events.

Always check the wash label of the garment itself; in the digital proof, we indicate which technique suits how you wash. For aprons with faux leather parts, we press onto the fabric, not onto the leather.

Washing and care

Wash printed hospitality and healthcare clothing inside out, at the temperature stated on the wash label. Don't use bleach on the print and don't iron over it; iron on the inside if needed. It's best to treat grease stains on an apron next to the logo, not on top of it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a single apron printed?

Yes, you can order from us from 1 item. We press with cutting vinyl or a DTF transfer, neither of which requires any preparation. So one apron with your logo or name is just as possible as a set for the whole team.

Can the print withstand washing at high temperatures?

For workwear such as chef's tunics and tunics, we use sturdy cutting vinyl that can withstand washing at high temperatures. Also check the wash label of the garment; in the proof, we recommend the technique that suits your washing method.

Can I visit in Nijmegen to see aprons and chef's tunics?

Yes. Our workshop is at In de Betouwstraat 40, right in the centre of Nijmegen. You can feel the fabrics, compare vinyl colours and discuss where the logo should go on an apron or chef's tunic.

Do you also deliver hospitality clothing outside Nijmegen?

Yes. You can collect your printed hospitality or healthcare clothing in the centre of Nijmegen or have it delivered, for example straight to your restaurant, café or practice.

Can you put a name on a chef's tunic or tunic?

Yes. For example, you can place the logo on the left chest and a name for each person on the right chest or sleeve. Provide the names with your order; you can check everything in the digital proof.

Can you print an apron with faux leather?

Yes, on the fabric part. For aprons with straps or pockets made of faux leather, we press the logo onto the fabric next to it. In the digital proof, you'll see exactly where the logo will go before we start pressing.

Which technique should I use for hospitality clothing with a logo?

For a logo or name in one or two colours, sturdy cutting vinyl is crisp and holds up well in the wash. If your logo has many colours or a gradient, choose a full-colour DTF transfer.
