Why a fleece gilet with logo?

Fleece is a knitted polyester fabric that has been brushed on one or both sides. This traps plenty of air: warm, while remaining light and drying quickly. You wear a fleece gilet as a mid-layer under a coat or body warmer, or simply on its own on cooler days. It's a garment people enjoy wearing, which makes a fleece with a logo so suitable as workwear, club clothing or a gift for volunteers.

Microfleece or polar fleece?

The difference lies in the thickness and height of the fibres, the so-called pile. This determines not only the warmth, but also how your logo looks.

How we print fleece

Fleece requires a different approach to a T-shirt. A high pile can be flattened around the logo, leaving a shiny edge. That's why we press fleece with less pressure and a lower temperature, choosing the right technique for each fabric.

Cut vinyl gives a crisp, opaque logo in one or two colours on microfleece. On thick polar fleece, very fine lines can sink slightly into the pile; it's best not to make lettering too small there. There are 104 vinyl colours available, including metallic, gold and silver.

DTF transfer is full colour and stays flexible. It works well for logos with many colours or a gradient, even on dark fleece.

Where do you place the logo on a fleece gilet?

  • Left chest7 to 9 cm wide. On a gilet with a zip, the logo stays a few centimetres away from the zip.
  • Backup to around 25 cm wide, between the shoulder blades.
  • Sleeve6 to 8 cm, for a name or small emblem.

Washing and care

Wash a printed fleece gilet inside out at 30 or 40 degrees, with the zip closed, and without fabric softener – this flattens the fibres and reduces warmth. Let it air dry; fleece dries quickly. Don't iron the print, and preferably not the fleece itself either.

Can I have a single fleece gilet printed?

Yes, with us you can order from 1 piece. No screen or preparation is needed, because we press using cut vinyl or a DTF transfer. So one fleece gilet with your name or logo is just as easy as a whole batch.

Does the fleece stay soft around the logo?

Yes. We press fleece with less pressure and a lower temperature, so the pile around the logo doesn't get flattened. On thick polar fleece we don't recommend extremely fine lines, as these can sink into the pile.

What's better for a logo: microfleece or polar fleece?

Microfleece is thin and flat and gives the crispest result, even with small lettering. Polar fleece is warmer and thicker; there, a slightly larger logo or a DTF transfer works best.
