Banner printing in Nijmegen

Banner printing in Nijmegen

A banner is the most flexible piece of outdoor advertising: you hang it on a fence, façade, scaffold or between two poles, and roll it up again afterwards. Here you can order banners in any size, plus fabrics for site fencing, crowd barriers, scaffolding and speakers. You choose the fabric and finish yourself, from 1 piece, and we'll have it delivered to your address.

Banner, PVC banner or cloth: what will you find here?

This category contains seven products. The banner is the basic option: any size, with the finish you choose. The XL banner is for sizes well beyond the usual, for example for a complete façade. There are also banners that fit exactly onto what's already there: the construction fence banner, the crowd barrier banner and scaffolding banners. The speaker cloth covers speakers on a stage, and with the banner frame you set a banner taut in an aluminium frame.

Choosing banner sizes

You can order a banner in any size. Banners are printed up to 494 cm wide; larger banners are welded together from strips, and for the XL banner you supply one design file which we divide up. Choose the size based on two things: the space where the banner will hang and the distance from which people will read it. Measure the fence, the façade or the distance between the posts and leave some room around the edges for fixing it in place. If you want your text to be legible from afar, allow for roughly 2.5 cm of letter height per 3 metres of viewing distance. A banner across a construction fence that's 335 cm wide will be read from the other side of the road, so keep it to a short message with large letters.

For fences there are fixed sizes: the construction fence banner is 335 x 175 cm, with eyelets every 50 cm. The crowd barrier banner is available for crowd barriers of 230 to 235 cm and 250 cm wide, with templates so you can design directly onto them.

Banner cloth, mesh banner or PVC-free

  • Banner 510the standard banner cloth. Dense, opaque and suitable for indoors and outdoors, in durability class 2 to 5 years.
  • Banner 610heavier, with blockout, so you can have it printed double-sided without the print showing through.
  • Mesh banneran open structure that lets wind through. For fences, scaffolding and façades where the banner catches a lot of wind.
  • Flag fabric and PVC-free polyestersupple, lightweight and without PVC.

Many materials come with a fire certificate. If you're hanging a banner in a sports hall, at a trade fair or at an event, check in the configurator which banners have that certificate.

Finish and hanging

The finish determines how you hang the banner. Hems make the edge stronger. Eyelets are used with cable ties or elastic tensioners; tensioners give a bit of flex when the wind pulls at the banner, making the eyelets less likely to tear out. A tunnel is an open hem through which you slide a pipe or pole, handy between two posts or under a balcony. Cord and hook-and-loop fastening are for frames and systems. If your banner hangs somewhere with a lot of wind, choose mesh banner, extra eyelets and tensioners instead of a tightly pulled rope. You can order cable ties, tensioners and frames along with it.

Banners for construction fences, crowd barriers and scaffolding

During a renovation or event, a fence or scaffolding is already a ready-made advertising surface. You can choose the construction fence banner in mesh banner, flag fabric, Banner 510 or ProPES, and almost all materials come with a fire certificate. The crowd barrier banner can be printed single- or double-sided on Banner 510, ProPES Outdoor or ProPES FR. Scaffolding banners are available in Mesh banner, Soundmesh, Flag or PVC-free Polymesh: lightweight and transparent, so daylight and views are preserved. You choose a hem all round or a band with eyelets every 50 cm, with a B1 fire certificate.

Speaker cloth for stage and events

The speaker cloth has an open structure, so sound and wind pass through it. You can choose Soundmesh or PVC-free Polymesh, both with a fire certificate, made to measure up to 494 cm wide and finished with eyelets, hem or tunnel. This way you can display your name in front of the speakers without the sound becoming muffled.

Banner with frame

A loose banner can billow and flap. In a frame it stays taut and you can swap the banner later. The banner frame is made from recycled aluminium, with fixings for sheet piling or a brick wall. You'll find more models, including round and freestanding frames, under banner frames.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a banner printed in Nijmegen for an event?

Yes. You configure your banner online, upload your design and we have it delivered to the address you choose, including directly to the event location. If you want to feel the fabrics first or discuss the size, drop by at Betouwstraat 40.

Am I allowed to hang a banner in Nijmegen?

Temporary advertising may hang for at most 31 days a year. If the banner stays longer, it counts as permanent and often needs a permit. Stricter rules apply in the city centre. Read our outdoor advertising page and always check with the municipality.

Which dimensions can a banner have?

Any size. Fabric is printed up to 494 cm wide and larger banners are welded together from strips. For fences there are fixed sizes: the construction fence cover is 335 x 175 cm and the crowd barrier cover fits barriers of 230 to 235 and 250 cm.

How do I hang a banner so it stays taut?

Choose eyelets all round and fix them with elastic tensioners instead of a tight rope; they absorb gusts of wind. In strong wind, mesh helps because it lets air through. If you want it completely taut, put the banner in a banner frame.

When should I choose mesh?

Choose mesh when the banner catches a lot of wind, such as on a construction fence, scaffold or high facade. Thanks to the open structure, part of the wind passes through, so the banner and the fixings have less to endure.

Can a banner be printed on both sides?

Yes, on Banner 610. That fabric has blockout, so the print on one side does not show through to the other. Useful for a banner seen from two sides, such as above a street or on a crowd barrier.

What if I have no design for my banner?

Then we create it together with you. Send your logo, text and any photos, or drop by at the Betouwstraat. For the crowd barrier cover there are also templates you can design on straight away.
