An accessory with a logo is used at moments when people really look around them. An umbrella pops open with every shower, on the school playground, at the entrance of an office or along the golf course, showing your name to everyone walking under or beside it. That's why a printed umbrella is a popular corporate gift: practical, used for a long time and visible. In our workshop on the Betouwstraat, we look at what's possible per item, and we do the pressing ourselves.

Which positions can be printed?

With accessories, this really differs per item. An umbrella has panels that are stretched between the ribs, slightly curved and made from a thin, often heat-sensitive fabric. Not every accessory can simply go under the press. If you're unsure, for example about the size of your logo on a panel, get in touch. We'll give you honest advice about what works and what doesn't.

Cut vinyl or DTF

Where an accessory can be printed, you choose 1 colour or full colour per position. For 1 colour, we use cut vinyl: cut from coloured vinyl, crisp, opaque and sharp down to small lettering. You choose from 104 vinyl colours, including fluorescent, gold, silver and metallic, so your logo matches your house style. For full colour, we use a DTF transfer for designs with a photo, gradient or lots of colours. On a narrow area, such as a panel of a mini umbrella, a compact logo or short text usually works better than a busy design.

Golf umbrella, mini or square: which do you choose?

A golf umbrella has a large canopy and suits events, the golf course or the entrance of a hotel or office. A foldable mini umbrella, on the other hand, is meant to always have with you, as a corporate gift that fits in any bag. An automatic umbrella is handy if you often walk with your hands full, and you choose a square umbrella if you want to stand out. Check the colours and printable positions per model.

Yes, you can order from us from 1 piece, provided the model on the product page has a printable position. So one umbrella as a gift or as a sample is just as possible as a larger order for clients or staff.

No, that differs per item. Some materials and shapes can't go under the press. On the product page, you can see per accessory which positions can be printed. If you're unsure, get in touch; we'll give you honest advice about what does and doesn't work.

Which technique do you use for a logo on an umbrella?

For 1 colour, we use cut vinyl, crisp and opaque, in 104 colours. For full colour, a DTF transfer, for photos and gradients. Whether and where an umbrella can be printed, you can see per model on the product page and in the digital proof.

How do I care for a printed umbrella?

Let the umbrella dry open after use and don't store it wet. Clean the canopy with a damp cloth and some mild soapy water. Don't put it in the washing machine and keep it away from heat, so the print stays looking good.
